1D will be back in the US soon, jumping the pond to perform at MTV’s Video Music Awards.  Liam spilled, “We’re really looking forward to the VMAs…It’s quite nerve-racking as well, because obviously there’s been so many historical moments and stuff that have happened at the VMAs. Now we want to make a moment ourselves, but who knows?”  Harry sweetly added, “It’s a big occasion to perform at the VMAs, and we’re here for our fans…So this one’s for our fans.”  We can’t wait to see what the boys come up with for their performance!

The nominations for MTV’s Video Music Awards have been revealed, and there is some serious competition in almost every category.  British babes One Direction and The Wanted are both up for Best New Artist, Katy Perry and Selena both have videos nominated in the Best Female Video category, and Demi Lovato and Gym Class Heroes will face off for Best Video with a Message! One Direction is in the process of recording their second album. Their next task?  Picking which song to open the album with!  Louis said “We’re going to be picking it very soon, very soon. There are about three songs that are all good contenders.” We can’t wait to hear whichever song they choose!
